Big seal contract for a new CDU

TREM Engineering is to manufacture mechanical seals for the new 190,000 bpd CDU at the Rosneft Tuapse Oil Refinery which is under construction now and which will be the biggest CDU in Russia.

Mechanical seals will be shipped to the bid winner pump manufacturer plants in Europe. Then the seals will return to Russia as part of the pump units.

The contract is for more than 70 mechanical seals and seal systems. Seals are made to API 682 standard, 3rd edition. Seal systems are made to the specific requirments of the project engineering company (Neftekhimproekt, St.-Petersburg, Russia).

About the Tuapse Oil Refinery:

Being a part of Rosneft, this is the oldest of its plants (operation started in 1929). Massive reconstruction is being carried out to encrease output and product quality.

The oil refinery is situated in the south of Russia at the Black Sea.
